Circus WA - Act Belong Commit

Custom typography for posters, Fremantle, WA

A series of four posters, designed for Circus WA, to go on display outside the Freo Big Top. The posters feature the Act Belong Commit message across the series - with a bit of a twist that speaks to the work that Circus WA does, and the way they embody this message.

The typography was custom-built to interact with some of the subjects in the photos. It also speaks to the whimsy and carnival-style nature of the organisation.

‘Act with Circus’ was the line that sparked the wording for the series of posters. In fact, 'ACT' can be seen in every one of the hero photos. Not just the circus ACT in the sense of a ‘performance,’ but also ACTion. There is such energy and dynamism in each one and it was a lot of fun to try to manipulate the type to reflect that and play into it.
